ALEX McADOO
Alex McAdoo (b. 1987) is a Los Angeles based painter born in Bellingham, Washington. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Utah in 2013 and his MFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2019. His work depicts idealized symbols of the American suburb, including tree lined streets, expansive homes, and sleek cars, often rendered in vivid, sunset toned palettes. Drawing from his upbringing in an Indo Caribbean family, his paintings reflect on memory, identity, and constructed notions of the American landscape.
